Welcome
I'm Heidi Soulsby and have been proud and privileged to have been a People's Deputy since 2012.
Welcome!
Hi there and thanks for visiting my website. I’m Heidi Soulsby and am a People's Deputy. I was first elected to the States of Deliberation in May 2012 and during my first term I served as Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, Deputy Minister of the Health and Services Department and Member of the Scrutiny Committee, Constitutional Investigation Committee and Commerce and Employment Department.
In May 2016 I was elected as President of the Committee for Health and Social Care, under the new machinery of government.
In the 2020 General Election, the first under the Island Wide Voting system, I came 2nd. I was elected the first female Deputy Chief Minister and held that post until November 2022 until I resigned. I am currently Vice Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Guernsey Branch Executive Committee and a Governor of the Board of The Ladies’ College.

My speech on the budget debate focused on health and social care. Sir, There are 9 pages devoted entirely to Health and Social Care in this budget and a good chunk of Deputy St Pier’s speech was taken up with it, so it would be remiss of me not to…
